Police searching for a missing 10-year-old boy in Fife said they have found a body in a river.
The discovery followed a search for Steven Henderson, from Methil, who was last seen on Saturday evening in woods known locally as the Dam.
Fife Constabulary said divers recovered a body from the River Leven near to where Steven had been seen playing.
A spokesman said formal identification had not taken place and it was a distressing time for the family.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Searches had been conducted overnight and throughout the day by police, fire and rescue, RAF, coastguard, International Rescue, dog and dive teams.
Ch Supt Andrew Laing said: "Formal identification has clearly not yet been made and inquiries are continuing.
"This is a hugely distressing experience for Steven's family and we are doing all we can to support them through this difficult time.
"I would like to thank the community, neighbouring forces and the International Rescue for their considerable support and assistance in today's search."
