Japan's Matsue City has found an unusual way to celebrate the build up to Christmas, a daily 'Santa parade' in a local park, featuring five African penguins in Santa Claus costumes.

The penguins' costumes, which consist of a red cape with hood and a small bell, were handmade by park staff.

The parade is due to take place every day until Christmas.
