Reform: elected chiefs 'will make police accountable'

The coalition government faces opposition over plans to introduce elected police commissioners with senior officers arguing its their political independence that makes them do their job so well.

But the think tank Reform argues elected figures will make the police more accountable as Dale Bassett tells Giles Dilnot.
