University students on funding higher education

Lord Mandelson announced funding for universities would be cut by £398 million in 2010, and the Tories have said they could not promise to reverse the cuts, while the Lib Dems have indicated the current economic climate means they will have to rethink a number of their priorities, and they have recently confirmed tuition fees might be fully scrapped in the Parliament after next.

Giles Dilnot spoke to three students at a London University and he started by asking them if they understood why all the parties were cutting back.
