I agree with the MP from Shropshire re spending in his county - STAFFS sufferes the same problems. It is all well and good these unelected bodies handing out money but it always seems to go to the West Midlands.
Ian Payne, Staffs
I understand that Advantage West Midlands preserves the money over the year and then at the end of the year when the money is not spent they return it to the government. I think this money should be given to local governments because they know best how to spend it.
David, Solihull
I think it is a disgrace that Advantage West Midlands has got no accountability to the general public of the region through directly elected members. It is also important to point out that a lot of good work has gone in by the voluntary sector and there is no representation of the voluntary sector either in Regional Assembly or in Advantage West Midlands.
Jean, West Midlands
These regional governments are total waste of money. Whatever they say comes from Brussels. They are ruled by Brussels and it has nothing to do with British electors.
Ann, Leek
I haven't heard of Advantage West Midlands before but it looks like 'Advantage Birmingham' to me. What about small towns and villages like Ludlow or Wittington in our region? This is where the financial support should go to.
Mary, Shropshire
I don't think we need regional government because we have enough government coming from Whitehall already.
Mrs Blair, Walsall
