Robert and David Eyre were part of the team that opened the first gastropub, The Eagle, in London 10 years ago.
That was a concept, a good pub with great food, that has now become a commonplace. Their new London restaurant, Eyre Brothers, opened this autumn. Its simple cooking has already caused a stir. But will their new venture be as influential? Nigel Wrench went to see the Eyre Brothers one lunchtime. Chef David Eyre told him the secret is authenticity.
