Hundreds of privately fostered children in Britain, many from abroad, are in danger of neglect or abuse amid continuing failures to identify and protect them, a Newsnight investigation has discovered.

The programme found it is still too easy for a child to be brought into the UK and grow up "invisible" to the authorities - 10 years after the country was shocked by the death from abuse of eight-year-old Victoria Climbie.

Newsnight traced the journey of one young Nigerian, Tunde Jaji, now 24, who was brought to London when he was five years old to live with a woman he called his "aunt". Here Mr Jaji tells his story in his own words.
