The government has been forced to disclose what it knew about the treatment of a British resident being held in Pakistan.
The Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, had tried to suppress a summary of what happened to Binyam Mohamed on the grounds of national security -- but the Appeal Court dismissed his objections.
Mr Mohamed claims the British government was complicit in his treatment by feeding US interrogators questions from MI5 officers.
Mr Miliband told the BBC's Newsnight programme he accepted the Appeal Court's judgement.
