Keeping the Pina Bausch legacy alive

Pina Bausch was one of the greatest choreographers of the 20th century, whose work is credited with revolutionising the language of modern dance.

She earned world renown for her avant-garde performances, mixing dance, sound and fragmented narrative.

When she died unexpectedly in 2009, her dance company was determined to continue her legacy. Now it is back again at London's Barbican Arts Centre - without Pina - to keep the spirit of her dance alive.

World News Today with Zeinab Badawi is broadcast weekdays at 1900, 1930 and 2000 GMT on the BBC World News channel. Find out more information about regional broadcast times here.
