In a HardTalk Extra interview screened on 12 December, Tom Brook spoke to film director Norman Jewison.

In Hollywood, Norman Jewison is something of a maverick.

He's renowned for tackling issues like racism and civil rights in his movies.

But as the director of classics like In The Heat Of The Night and Fiddler On The Roof, he's also known as a master storyteller and part of the Hollywood A-List - and his films have won 12 Oscars.

In a frank and entertaining interview, he talks to Tom Brook about the changes he's seen in Hollywood during his long career and why he called his autobiography "This Terrible Business Has Been Good To Me".

HARDtalk Extra can be seen on BBC World at 0430 GMT, 0830 GMT, 1130 GMT, 1530 GMT, 1930 GMT, 0030 GMT

It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 04:30 and 23:30.
