Exploring India's Hampi ruins

It is often said that while the 20th century will be remembered as the American century the 21st will go down as belonging to Asia - a period when the economies of India and China leapfrogged western ones and came to dominate. What is often forgotten though is that both those countries have a long history of trade and commerce stretching back many hundreds, if not thousands of years.

Mike London travelled to Karnataka in southern India to explore Hampi - located within the ruins of Vijayanagara, once one of the most important trading centres in the world.
