Hundreds of UK schools have been making news on TV, radio and online. Here is a selection of their photos. Heathfield School pupils in Pinner, Middlesex, look through the morning papers.

Pupils at Polesworth International Language

Pupils at Polesworth International Language College in Tamworth are looking at stories like abortion advice and a driver who was left teetering on a cliff edge after following sat nav directions.

Holland Park School

Students from Holland Park School in London are hard at work discussing news like the decision to air advertisements about pregnancy advisory services.

Pupils from Jordanhill Primary school.

Reporters working hard in Jordanhill Primary school in Glasgow. The pupils have interviewed Julia Donaldson, the author of The Gruffalo. They also spoke to some players from their local football team.

Craigholme School, Glasgow

The presenters of the "News Headlines in Brief" in Craigholme School in Glasgow did the whole programme in only one take.

Greenfaulds High students

Reporters in Greenfaulds High in Cumbernauld will be explore how the recession affects them. They will also interview MSP Jamie Hepburn.

Young reporters at Tendring Technology College

Young people from the Tendring Technology College produced a live news bulletin for the morning programme at BBC Essex radio.

Dukerie College pupils

The Dukeries College's young reporters have been up since 6AM working with a news crew from BBC Breakfast.

Diss High School students

Diss High school students in Norfolk discuss the stories of the day. They might cover the school's link project with Sri Lanka and what it means to be East Anglian.

Heath Park Business and Enterprise College students

The students from Heath Park Business and Enterprise College in Wolverhampton getting ready to present their news on video. They are discussing local issues like their involvement in Comic Relief.

Students from the Oakland School

Students from Oakgrove School in Milton Keynes are covering stories like the growing problem of litter, eco schools and the proposal to ban SATs. See more pictures on the bottom right hand side.
