Amy Winehouse, who was accompanied by her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, won the artists' choice award. of the Black Eyed Peas sang on stage with Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls.

Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne was the star of the show after being named best solo artist. She also won for most addictive track.

German rock band Tokio Hotel

German rock band Tokio Hotel received the award for best international group.


Lebanon-born singer Mika arrived wearing a brooch worth $6.5m (3.2m).

Dave Grohl

Dave Grohl, who performed with his group the Foo Fighters, also ran a bar for the performers.

My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance also attended. Next year's awards will be held at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.
