Prince Harry has spent a couple of months on a 40,000-acre farm in Queensland, Australia learning how to be a jackeroo.

He has learnt skills such as handling cattle, repairing damaged fencing and general farm maintenance.

His working day is from 0730 to about 1800, with a two-hour lunch break to avoid the intense Australian heat.

Media were allowed to visit the remote farm to see where the prince has been living during his stay

With five other cattle hands, Prince Harry, riding a chestnut-coloured horse called Guardsman, rounded up about 30 cattle.

Prince Harry will leave the Australian outback for a family Christmas back in the UK

He said of his stay in Australia: "It's a great place."
