Yugoslavia all fit for Norway
![]() Milosevic may have earned a starting place
Yugoslavia expect to have a fully-fit squad for Sunday's Group C game with Norway in Liege after injury-doubts Vladimir Jugovic and Darko Kovacevic resumed training.
But coach Vujadin Boskov must choose between Juventus striker Kovacevic and Real Zaragoza forward Savo Milosevic, who scored twice in the remarkable three-goal comeback against Slovenia after coming on as substitute. Sinisa Mihajlovic is suspended after he was sent-off against Slovenia and Boskov admitted his side will miss the Lazio defender and free-kick specialist. "It is not good for us to be without one of the best players in the world. He has proved that he is one of our top players, it is a fact that it will be a big problem for us," he said. "It has not been a lucky year for Mijatovic. He had a serious injury that needed an operation and he didn't play as much as he wanted for Fiorentina. But he is a great player and we must do all we can to help him get to top form." Decision The former Sampdoria coach was tight-lipped about his selection plans but admitted he faces a headache in choosing a partner for Predrag Mijatovic in attack. He is known to favour the towering presence of Kovacevic but Milosevic's two goals as a substitute against Slovenia have clearly forced him into the frame. "They both have great character and on Saturday I will decide which one of them will partner Mijatovic," he said. |
