Berg doubt for group games
![]() Norway captain Berg limped out of the win over Spain
Norway and Manchester United defender Henning Berg missed training on Wednesday and is doubtful for the rest of his country's opening round matches at Euro 2000.
The Norway captain was forced off in the second half of Tuesday's shock 1-0 victory over Spain after aggravating a thigh injury which had made him a doubt for the match. Berg believes he will miss the next two Group C games - against Yugoslavia on Sunday and Slovenia next Wednesday - but expects to return if Norway reach the knock-out stages. "We have the chance to get to a quarter-final and by then I could be ready again," he said. Manchester United team mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "It's a big blow for us but we have got other very good players." Norway, appearing in a European championship for the first time, made a perfect start to their Euro 2000 campaign by surprising highly-fancied Spain.
