A paternity legal action against actor Wesley Snipes has been dismissed in New York after it was proved another man was the father of the child.
Snipes has appeared in three Blade films
A woman had claimed that Mr Snipes had fathered the child in a crack house in Chicago three years ago.
The actor said he had never met the woman and that she had a history of making wild claims about celebrities.
Mr Snipes is suing the woman over the false claims, with the case due to be heard in November.
Although the Blade actor refused to submit to a paternity test another man agreed to take the test and was found to be the father.
The New York City Law Department, which was representing the woman, said after establishing the facts it moved to dismiss the case.
Speaking outside court, Mr Snipes said: "The good Lord says 'Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbour.' These are the tenets I live by."
The woman in the case did not attend the hearing.
"What we have here is factual vindication, legal vindication is still to come," said the actor's lawyer Robert Bernhoft.
