Pitt and Aniston remain co-owners of Plan B

Estranged Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have moved their Plan B film production company from Warner Bros to Paramount Pictures.

The move came after their business partner, Brad Grey, was appointed chief executive at Paramount.

Plan B's first big film, the Tim Burton-directed remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is out in July.

In the three-year deal, Paramount will be given first option to produce film projects developed by Plan B.

Pitt 'excited'

Plan B was started by Pitt, Aniston and Grey in 2002.

Grey, who has also produced a number of TV series, said: "It's been no secret that I've wanted Plan B to have a home at Paramount.

"It's especially gratifying to be bringing Brad and my old friends and colleagues from Plan B over as one of our first major production deals for the studio."

Pitt said he was "excited" at the deal and added that several of the production company's current projects will remain at Warner Bros.

As well as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, filming is also under way on Plan B's Martin Scorsese-directed movie The Departed, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson.

The company is also developing True Story, a film based on the book by former New York Times reporter Michael Finkel, whose identity was stolen by a murder suspect.
