Mel faces Big Brother eviction
Big Brother nominees
Mel faces the boot for the first time along with Craig and Darren
Mel, Craig and Darren are the latest and final contestants to face eviction from Channel 4's Big Brother house before the ultimate winner is chosen next week.

For Mel it is the first time she has been nominated and follows last week's debacle, when she escaped possible eviction when Darren changed his vote after being overheard.

The three are among the final four contestants remaining sealed from the outside world in a specially-built house in east London, with their every movement tracked by cameras and microphones.

Viewers will choose which one they want kicked out of the house on Friday in the show's final vote for eviction.

After this week's eviction process is over, three of the housemates will remain and viewers will have the final vote on the winner - who will walk away with 70,000.

Nomination first

The four remaining contestants - already whittled down from an initial 10 - voted secretly for two housemates they would like booted out.

Each went into the soundproofed diary room where they made their nominations to "Big Brother".

In this week's vote, Darren received three votes while Craig and Mel both received two.

The fourth housemate Anna - a 29-year-old former trainee nun - received only one.

On hearing the news, Darren and Craig took it in their stride, preferring to "beat up" Anna as punishment for escaping nomination.

Mel, on the other hand, looked surprised at hearing her name.

This is the first time the 26-year-old sales executive from London, seen by some viewers as flirtatious, has been shortlisted for eviction.

Last week, however, she was mistakenly disclosed as one of Darren's original two choices.

A technical error in the soundproofed diary room meant his words boomed out all over the house.

The nomination process was started again, leaving Melanie off the hook the second time around.

Builder Craig, 28, from Liverpool, and Darren - a 22-year-old South Londoner who works at The Dome - both know what it is like to find out they are wanted out.

Craig is facing the boot for the fourth week running. Darren escaped ejection two weeks ago despite being favourite for the chop at that time.

Mel is now favourite to be given her marching orders on Friday, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes with Craig the outsider.

Craig is also favourite to survive the entire competition and win the cash, followed by Anna, Darren and Mel.
