Dame Vera Lynn tells the BBC she is 'suprised' by her latest chart success
Legendary singer Dame Vera Lynn has become the oldest living artist to enter the top 20 of the UK album chart, her record company said.
Dame Vera, who kept up the spirits of millions of soldiers during World War II, has entered the album chart at number 20 - at the age of 92.
She has achieved her success with her album, We'll Meet Again - The Very Best of Vera Lynn.
Dizzee Rascal recorded his third number one single with Holiday.
Arctic Monkeys went in at number one in the album chart with Humbug.
Dame Vera said: "I am extremely excited and delighted to be back in the charts after all these years."
The album was released to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the declaration of war, which is on Thursday.
A spokeswoman for her record company Decca said: "She has proven that music of this vintage and significance can still resonate with the British public."
Meanwhile, Michael Jackson still had four albums in the chart on the day after what would have been his 51st birthday.
