Spices dominate rich list
The Spice Girls
The Spice Girls: A combined 92m fortune
The Spice Girls dominate a list of Britain's richest young pop millionaires to be published on Sunday.

They fill the top four places in the Observer's annual rich list for the under-30s - and ex-Spice Geri Halliwell is sixth in the top earners list.
Pop Top 10
1. Victoria Beckham 25.5m
2. Melanie Chisholm 22.5m
3. Emma Bunton 22m
= Melanie Brown 22m
5. Gary Barlow 20m
6. Geri Halliwell 19.6m
7. Jason Kay
8. Robbie Williams 11.25m
9. Liam Gallagher 8m
10. Shaznay Lewis 7m
Only former Take That man Gary Barlow at fifth manages to break the Spice domination of the list of Britain's highest earning young pop stars.

Posh Spice Victoria has netted a 25.5m personal fortune from the Spice Girls success and her husband, Manchester United star David Beckham comes fourth in a similar list of high-earning sports stars.

He is estimated to have brought in 7m, giving the couple a 32.5m annual pay packet.

In the pop top 10 Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm (22.5m), Baby Spice Emma Bunton (22m) and Scary Spice Melanie Brown (22m) give the current Spice Girls line-up a combined fortune of 92m.

The Observer list says Gary Barlow is now worth 20m while Geri Halliwell has 19.6m.

Football success

Top of the young sporting millionaires are boxer 'Prince' Naseem Hamed, 26, and England football captain Alan Shearer, 29, each with 17m personal fortunes.

If the two lists were combined only Naseem, Shearer and Formula 1s David Coulthard (8m) would scrape into the top 10.
Sport Top 10
1. Naseem Hamed 17m
= Alan Shearer 17m
3. David Coulthard 8m
4. David Beckham 7m
= Robbie Fowler 7m
6. Ryan Giggs
= Greg Rusedski 6m
8. Duncan Ferguson 5m
= Steve McManaman 5m
= Tim Henman
Tennis stars Greg Rusedski (6m) and Tim Henman (5m) also make the sporting top 10 - at sixth equal and eighth equal respectively.

But the remaining places are all taken up by footballers.

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher may be squaring-up to Robbie Williams in the media: after Gallagher reportedly called Williams a "fat dancer" the former Take That star told the Brit Awards he would put up 100,000 to stage a fight with Gallagher.

But Williams clearly packs a bigger financial punch.

While the ex-Take That frontman, 26, has an estimated 11.25m fortune, making him the eighth wealthiest star in the pop star's league, Gallagher, 27, is worth a mere 8m and ranked ninth.

And Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay keeps the seventh richest spot that he had in last year's list, but with 19m to his name, compared to 15m before the release of his band's latest album last year.
