Film-makers rally round for Lohan
Lindsay Lohan
Lohan is back in rehab for the second time this year
Producers of actress Lindsay Lohan's forthcoming film are re-working the schedule so the star can film her role when she has completed rehab.

The 20-year-old, who was due to begin shooting Poor Things this week, sought treatment after being arrested following a car crash at the weekend.

Police said they found a substance thought to be cocaine in her car.

Co-star and producer Shirley MacLaine said "in the spirit of helping" Lohan, they were trying to re-arrange filming.

"We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit," the statement added.

Lohan was arrested on Saturday after her car mounted a kerb on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. She was not charged, but is due to appear in court in August.

It is not the first time the star's personal life has caused problems with her film career.

Last July, studio executive James G Robinson went public with a letter to Lohan, scolding her for repeatedly showing up late on the set of Georgia Rule.

He called her behaviour "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional", and cited her "ongoing all-night heavy partying" as the reason for her tardiness.

It is the second time the star has checked into rehab this year. She spent a month at the Promises treatment centre in Malibu in January.
