Fisher fans offered ticket swap
Connie Fisher
Connie Fisher won critical praise for her performance as Maria
Unhappy fans who have booked to see The Sound of Music at the London Palladium while two of the show's stars are missing have been offered new dates.

TV show winner Connie Fisher is taking two weeks off to rest her vocal chords.

And Lesley Garrett, who plays the Mother Abbess, is away working as a judge on Celebrity Fame Academy.

Fans who have booked for the affected shows can swap their tickets for a later date when Fisher is back - but may have to wait until November.

Extended stay

A statement on behalf of the show said: "Anyone who wishes to exchange their tickets for later dates should get in touch with the agency or box office from whom they bought their tickets.

"We regret that we may be unable to re-seat customers in the very near future (it may be as late as November) but we will be happy, in the circumstances, to re-seat as soon as we can."

It added that the illness coincided with a pre-arranged holiday for Garrett while she undertook unpaid work on Celebrity Fame Academy.

Fisher, who helped the production to achieve advance sales of over 10m, has agreed to remain with the show throughout November as a result of her illness.
