EastEnders won the best soap prize at the Inside Soap Awards, but tied with rival Coronation Street for the amount of trophies it took home.

The best actor award went to Coronation Street's Bradley Walsh, who plays Danny Baldwin in ITV's long-running show.

The best actress prize was awarded to EastEnders' Lacey Turner - Stacey Slater in the BBC soap.

Emmerdale picked up two awards, including best storyline - for a plot involving a character dying of cancer.

Coronation Street's Helen Worth was handed the outstanding achievement award, having played Gail Platt for 32 years.

"I've loved all 32 years of it. That I've managed to survive so long, I think, is an achievement in itself," said Worth.
