Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has spoken of his delight at the birth of his baby daughter Suri last week.

"It was everything that we wanted it to be. It was spiritual. It was powerful. It was indescribable," Cruise said on US TV show 20/20.

"It's still something that I'm processing and keep reliving."

Fiancee Katie Holmes, 27, gave birth to the couple's first child in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Cruise has two adopted children from his second marriage.
