Festive hit prediction for Chico
Chico survived elimination by the show
X-Factor contestant Chico Slimani is in the running to score a Christmas number one, according to bookmakers.

Whoever wins the ITV talent show is tipped to take the coveted festive chart but Chico is predicted to have his own hit by Ladbrokes.

The eventual X-Factor winner has odds of 4-6 to win, followed by Nizlopi's JCB Song at 4-1.

Westlife's collaboration with Diana Ross is tipped at 6-1 followed by Chico at 12-1.

Chico, a former goatherder and hairdresser, survived elimination from Saturday's X-Factor show after judge Simon Cowell opted to see Irish quartet The Conway Sisters leave.

There are now five acts left in the competition, which is being watched by an average 8.5 million viewers each week.

Those wanting to help the X-Factor winner secure the number one spot will have just four days to buy it as Cowell plans to rush release it in time for the Christmas market.

Other artists vying for the number one slot include The Choir Boys, The Pogues, Robbie Williams, Girls Aloud and former X-Factor runners-up G4 with their single with Robin Gibb.
