Keane debut tops 2004 album sales

Keane leads the nominations with three nominations
Keane's debut album Hopes and Fears is the best-selling album of 2004, according to record retail giant HMV.

The Mercury Award-nominated band beat Robbie Williams's Greatest Hits into second place.

The Christmas number one-selling record by Band Aid 20 topped the singles chart of 2004.

Meanwhile, in the end-of-year DVD chart, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King triumphed over Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
