Kid Rock sued by DJ for 'assault'
Kid Rock talks to police in night court in Nashville
Kid Rock pleaded no contest to criminal assault after the incident
A disc jockey has sued US rapper Kid Rock for $575,000 (315,000), saying the star punched him in a strip club.

The action comes after the performer pleaded no contest to criminal assault after an incident in Nashville, Tennessee, on 16 February.

He received a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days in jail on Monday.

DJ Jerry Campos subsequently issued a claim for damages, saying he was left with "severe, disabling and permanent injuries" after the incident.

In his legal claim, made in Nashville, Campos said the rapper punched him twice in the face after an argument in the club's DJ booth.

A spokesman for the singer was unavailable for comment. Kid Rock has had four hit albums in the US and two hit singles in the UK.
