Pregnant Cindy bares all

Cindy Crawford has followed in Demi Moore's footsteps by posing naked and seven months pregnant on the cover of a US fashion magazine.

The 33-year-old supermodel, who is expecting the child with her husband Rande Gerber, said: "I don't feel disgusting or unsexy. Pregnancy can be an excuse to be Earth Mother."

In 1991, Demi Moore created a storm by posing naked for the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, while pregnant with daughter Scout Larue.

Model Jerry Hall has also posed for revealing pictures whilst pregnant, as has All Saints singer Melanie Blatt.

Hugh planning to keep it in the family

Notting Hill star Hugh Grant wants to make a film about a true episode in his grandfather's wartime experiences.

The 38-year-old's ancestor was a junior officer in the Seaforth Highlanders - a regiment with a reputation for fighting to the death without surrender.

Grant is planning to concentrate on an incident after Dunkirk when his grandfather ended up in command of the entire Highland division after it was cut off and surrounded by the Germans.

Farrow 'shocked' over Woody's new baby

Hollywood star Mia Farrow says she was shocked to learn that ex-lover Woody Allen and estranged daughter Soon-Yi Previn had apparently adopted a baby.

"I don't know how the courts permitted this, especially in light of a judge not allowing him to see his own children. I'm frightened for that infant," Farrow said.

Allen, 63, married Previn, 28, in 1997. The two were seen in public with their child in April but have refused to say whether she is adopted.

Liz Taylor hoping for acting comeback

Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor has said she is ready to make a comeback on the silver screen.

The 67-year-old said: "I'm feeling better today than I have for years. The positive reactions I've received from recent public activities make me want to get back to work."

A spokeswoman for the double Oscar winning, British-born actress, who came to the UK to receive a Bafta lifetime award last month, said she would be "happy to do character work".

Pregnant Caroline unveils dad-to-be

Sitcom star Caroline Quentin has revealed the father of her unborn child is a TV producer 17 years her junior.

The 37-year-old Men Behaving Badly actress ended speculation by confirming that he was her 21-year-old lover Sam Farmer.

Farmer has been sharing the actress's £500,000 Soho penthouse since the beginning of the year.

She has described him as a "rock" with whom she is enjoying the happiest time of her life.

Jarre's millennium pyramid spectacular

French musician Jean-Michel Jarre is planning to stage a huge multi-media opera amongst the Giza Pyramids of Egypt to mark the millennium.

Thousands of people are expected to gather in the desert of the Giza plateau, home to three pyramids, for Jarre's show, entitled The 12 Dreams of the Sun.

The project is still taking shape, but Jarre's promising a dazzling evening filled with "music, cinematography and a lot of surprises".

Big bucks for Banderas to play a priest

Spanish heart-throb Antonio Banderas will earn a career-high £7.5m ($12m) to star in The Body as a Catholic priest on a special mission for the Vatican.

Previous actors in the frame for the role included Liam Neeson and Richard Gere, but the film was never made.

"I hadn't thought of Antonio for the role, but when he talked about faith and how he became an actor after seeing Jesus Christ Superstar, you could see the passion in his eyes," said director Jonas McCord.

Sequel to the Mummy planned already

The horror-adventure film The Mummy is performing so well at the box office that plans are already under way for a sequel, set in England.

In the next episode, the vengeful mummy surfaces in London. Gods and Monsters star Brendan Fraser and British actress Rachel Weisz are being asked to return in their starring roles.

Despite mainly poor reviews, the remake of the 1932 Boris Karloff classic has broken box office records to take in £28.6m in its opening weekend.
