My Music: Richard X
Richard X
Richard X has collaborated with Liberty X and Kelis
Richard X produced The Sugababes hit Freak Like Me and Being Nobody by Liberty X.

Debut album Richard X Presents His X-Factor Volume One also features Kelis, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, Javine, Tiga and Soul II Soul's Caron Wheeler.

He told BBC News Online about his favourite sounds.

You collaborated with many fine artists on your album, but who would you most like to repeat the experience with?
I'm already doing some new stuff with Tiga and hopefully will get to do something with the lovely Kelis again, hopefully for her album.

Did you change your surname to impress Liberty X?
I didn't have to change mine for legal reasons unlike them! To be honest I think I had the X before they did. Maybe another lawsuit could be heading their way.

What was the most recent album you bought?
I Monster - Neveroddoreven.

What is your favourite current song?
Tiga - Hot In Herre.

And your least favourite?
Gareth Gates - Sunshine.

Which songs remind you of something you'd rather forget? Can you say what it is?
Queen's Fat Bottomed Girls brings back long-repressed memories that I could never disclose.

Can the electro revival survive the hype?
I thought it was over already.

What's the best record you have ever bought on impulse?
DJ Banane's C64 Classics - a selection of synth pop tracks replayed on a Commodore 64. This shows me up to be a bit sad, I wager.

Which song from the past 12 months is most likely to gain classic status?
Beyonce's Crazy In Love - at weddings from here to eternity.

If you could join any band, which would you choose?
Girls Aloud.

If you organised a music festival, who would be your headline acts?
Ultravox, Leo Sayer and The Cheeky Girls.

Which music websites do you regularly visit?, and

In a fight between Girls Aloud and Busted, who would win?
Girls Aloud deffo.
