Beyonce keeps grip on UK charts
Beyonce is concentrating on solo career
R&B star Beyonce Knowles has continued to dominate the UK charts - heading off competition from pop superstar Madonna.

The Destiny's Child singer's hit Crazy in Love has held the number one single spot for a second week, while her album Dangerously in Love also topped the charts.

Madonna's latest release Hollywood - the second single from the album American Life - entered the chart at number two.

And it was a good week for female performers as pop-punk star Pink saw her song Feel Good Time, the theme to Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, chart in third position.

While former Pop Stars: The Rivals contestant Javine saw her debut single Real Things enter at number four.

Rapper Eminem, who has just performed gigs in the UK, entered at number with six with Eminem's Business.

Former Hear'Say singer Kym Marsh's single Come on Over failed to live up to the success of her debut solo effort Cry, which went in at number two in April, as her latest chart assault saw her enter at number six.

The Osmonds

Other new releases included Blur's Crazy Beat at 18 while Avril Lavigne's Losing Grip, the fourth song taken from the album Let Go, only reached 22.

The album charts saw glam rock band The Darkness go straight in at number two with Permission to Land.

The 70s-inspired group knocked soap actor and singer Delta Goodrem into third place in the week it was revealed that she is being treated for cancer.

And the Osmonds saw a surprise surge in sales with their Ultimate Collection album, featuring the group's greatest hits including Puppy Love, Love Me for a Reason and Long-Haired Lover from Liverpool, rising to fourth position.
