New proposal for town development
Revamped plans for a major development in Swindon are to go on show.

The Gateway site near Coate Water is expected to include a university campus, an extension to the Great Western Hospital and new houses.

The University of Bath had planned to base a new campus on the site, but pulled out of the scheme in March.

Two exhibitions of the revised plans to be submitted for planning permission, are being held in the Pilgrim Centre in Swindon on 22 and 23 June.

Bath University said in March that plans put forward by the developers required a "density of development that is inconsistent with our original campus model".
