Youth charged over attack on boy
Ridgeway School, Wroughton
The boy is thought to be a stable condition
A teenager has been charged in connection with an attack on a 15-year-old at a school in Wiltshire.

The 19-year-old was charged with grievous bodily harm after the boy was hit with what police believe was a hammer at Ridgeway School, Wroughton.

He is due before Swindon magistrates on Saturday. Six men also arrested have been released on bail without charge.

The 15-year-old is being treated at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. He is thought to be in a stable condition.

An 18-year-old also arrested in connection with the incident was released with no further action.

Ridgeway School has about 1,450 pupils aged between 11 and 18.
