Abduction attempt e-fit released
Police e-fit
The man approached the girl asking her for directions
Detectives have released an e-fit of a man who tried to drag a schoolgirl into the back of his van.

The 14-year-old was walking along Mill Carr Hill Lane, in the Woodlands area of Bradford, on Thursday when the man pulled up asking her for directions.

As she approached the M606 motorway bridge, he got out and attempted to drag her into his blue Mercedes van.

The man was Asian, in his 20s and 5ft 10ins tall. The van had no glass in the back doors.

Det Insp Pat O'Neil, from Kirklees CID, said: "Although the girl was not physically injured in the incident, she was obviously shaken up by what has happened."

He said some witnesses had already come forward but urged anyone with information to contact them.

Det Insp O'Neil added: "We are treating this as an isolated incident, but it is vital that anyone with information comes forward."
