Crews hurt as ambulance overturns
Two ambulance workers have been injured when the ambulance they were travelling in overturned while responding to an emergency call.

The accident happened at a roundabout in Stephenson Drive, Perton, near Wolverhampton, on Friday morning.

The staff, both male, suffered minor injuries in the accident and were taken to the New Cross Hospital by a second ambulance.

The vehicle they had been travelling in was left badly damaged.

Health officials said another ambulance was dispatched immediately to deal with the initial 999 call.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said that as a matter of procedure, the incident would be investigated internally.
