Part of High Street remains closed after the incident
Police have evacuated part of Birmingham city centre after glass fell from a landmark building.

The High Street and New Street area near the Rotunda building has been closed off since about 1230 BST.

West Midlands Police said there had not been reports of any injuries. The Health and Safety Executive has been informed of the incident.

The Rotunda is a listed building. It is being gutted before being turned into luxury apartments.

Scaffolding fell from the Beetham Tower when it was under construction in February, leading to delays for drivers and pedestrians in the Holloway Circus area.
