Work begins on bus station revamp
Work to improve Hanley Bus Station is due to start. The revamp includes better lighting and security.

The first phase will involve removing the bridge to a car park and there will be new seating in an attempt to attract more customers.

The bus station will be replaced altogether in a few years but Stoke on Trent's elected Mayor Mike Wolfe says people cannot be expected to wait.

There will also be new lights and seats at bus shelters.
