Buff-oons sought for goose bumps
Potential record-breakers will let it all hang out at Alton Towers
A Staffordshire theme park is planning to stage the ultimate publicity stunt - nude rollercoaster riding.

The Nemesis attraction at Alton Towers, in which riders are suspended at four times the force of gravity, is looking for 32 volunteers to take part naked.

A TV company is filming the stunt to mark the 50th anniversary of the Guinness Book of Records.

Organisers hope the attempt on August 27 will beat the previous record set by 28 people at Thorpe Park in Surrey.

A spokeswoman for Alton Towers said managers were looking forward to the attempt and were "quietly confident".

The theme park is currently embroiled in a legal row, after a judge served a noise abatement notice when a nearby resident took it to court, complaining about customers' screams.

The spokeswoman said their lawyers were in touch with the other party's legal representatives and discussions were under way over the issue.

She said the attraction at the centre of the legal dispute was the Oblivion ride, not the Nemesis, which will be used in the naked record attempt.
