Police aim to net lobster thieves
Police on Teesside are trawling for clues after 120 lobsters were stolen from a fish quay.

The theft, from Hartlepool's Headland, is being investigated by the aptly-named Pc Whiting.

The haul is thought to be worth over 1,000 and police are asking anyone who is offered cheap seafood, or who has any information, to contact them.

A Cleveland force spokesman said Pc Whiting would sift through the evidence and net those responsible.

He added: "I'm sure the officer will be on the end of some fishy puns but it could have been worse.

"In the nearby Stockton area we have an officer called Pc Fish, so it's probably just as well they weren't stolen from there."
