BBC £68,000 bill on Glasto guests
The Pyramid stage at Glastonbury Festival
Glastonbury is the biggest popular music event for the BBC
The BBC spent £68,000 entertaining MPs and other guests at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Five MPs were given 10 tickets, each costing £255, and they and other guests were invited to receptions in the evenings with food and drink provided.

The BBC said it did not provide any travel or accommodation for its guests.

"Glastonbury is the biggest popular music event for the BBC and we cover it exclusively on TV, radio and online," said the broadcaster.

"We also use the festival to strengthen relationships with a wide range of people we work with throughout the year," the broadcaster added.
