Inquiry after oil spill in river
Environment Agency experts are trying to trace the exact source of an oil spill in the River Brue in Somerset.

A tanker has been used to pump excess oil out of the river at Highbridge and absorbent booms have been laid across the water to prevent oil spreading.

So far there have been no fish deaths as a result of the contamination.

The agency will be carrying out tests to determine the levels of contamination to the estuary and its wildlife over the next few days.
