Inquest planned for missing woman
Melanie Hall
Miss Hall disappeared after a night out in Bath
An inquest will be held into the death of woman who disappeared from a Bath nightclub in 1996.

Hospital worker Melanie Hall, who lived with her parents in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, vanished after visiting the Cadillacs club in Walcot Street.

The 25-year-old had been at the nightclub with friends. Her body has not been found.

In cases where a body is not recovered, coroners must get special Home Office permission to hold an inquest.

The inquest into Melanie's death will take place at Bath County Court on Wednesday, 17 November.

Her father Steve Hall said: "We've believed she's been dead for many years now.

"We are really hoping this inquest will bring the case back into the public domain."

Last year, police arrested two men in connection with Melanie's disappearance.

Both were released without charge after police searched buildings and a field near Bath.

Ms Hall's disappearance was one of the most high-profile cases of the 1990s.

A 10,000 reward was offered and the case featured on a TV appeal.
