Missing woman's movements traced

Mandy Franks
Police are "extremely concerned" for Mandy Franks' safety

Detectives searching for a woman missing for just over a week have been retracing her steps.

Mandy Franks, 40, of Belle Vue Road, Shrewsbury, Shropshire disappeared on Saturday, 4 October after visiting a bar in the town with her partner.

Officers were in Shrewsbury town on Saturday night speaking to people who may have seen her in bars and clubs.

River and helicopter searches have taken place and her boyfriend made an emotional appeal for her return.

'Extremely concerned'

She was thought to have been spotted on CCTV in the Reflex club, but detectives said they were now satisfied the woman in the images was not her.

Police have said they remain "extremely concerned" for Ms Franks' safety.

Ms Franks was last seen leaving the Frank Cafe Bar, in Frankwell, at about 2200 BST on Saturday, and making her way across the Welsh Bridge to Montgomery's Tower pub, arriving at 2215 BST.

She had a brief conversation with a doorman outside Montgomery's Tower between 1150 BST and 1205 BST.

"This is the last reported sighting of Mandy and we have received no information since then relating to her whereabouts," a police spokesman said.
