Appeal over street assault on man

Police have appealed for witnesses to an assault on a man in a Shropshire town.

The man was walking along Penistone Close, in Telford, at about 2230 BST on Sunday when he was attacked.

The 28-year-old was punched and kicked and taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his face.

Anyone who witnessed the attack or has any information has been asked to contact West Mercia Police or they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
