Man injured by electricity cable
A man is in intensive care in hospital after he was hit in the head by an electrical power cable.

A lorry pulled down the cable in Whitchurch Road in Prees, Shropshire, it is thought. Another vehicle is then believed to have driven over the it.

The cable "whipped up" striking the man in the head on Tuesday morning, West Mercia Police said.

The man, who is in his 20s, was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital where he was in a serious but stable condition.

Police have asked witnesses to contact them. The cable, which was attached to a house, has been made safe by engineers.
