Closed pool reopens to swimmers
A Shropshire swimming pool at the centre of a long-running campaign to save it has reopened.

The pool at Wem was closed by North Shropshire District Council in March as a cost-cutting measure.

A private firm, Swim with Style, has taken over the running of the pool, which reopened on Monday morning.

Its spokeswoman Glynis Shepherd said there had been a problem during the refit when hundreds of tiles fell, probably due to draining the pool.
