Four rescued from suspicious fire
Two children and two adults have been rescued after a fire broke out at a Liverpool flat.

The blaze began at a three-storey terraced house on Laurel Road in Kensington in the early hours.

Two women aged in their 30s, a 10-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl were led to safety by fire crews.

The fire badly damaged the stairwell between the first and second floors. The fire service and police said the blaze was being treated as suspicious.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Merseyside Police.
