Hundreds of Santas dashed around Manchester raising money for charity

More than 800 runners donned Santa costumes to dash around the streets of Manchester to raise money for charity.

The fundraisers took part in the inaugural Co-operative Santa Dash in aid of the deafness and hearing loss charity RNID's Hear to Help service.

The charity trains volunteers to provide support to hearing aid users.

A spokesman for The Co-operative thanked the runners for taking part in the event, which started from Sportcity.
