Tyre trouble stops plane take-off

A plane aborted take off at Manchester airport because of an unusual tyre pressure reading.

The Philadelphia-bound US airways flight began its journey down runway one, but a warning light caused the pilot to stop the take off.

One of the tyres deflated as the Airbus A330 slowed down, with smoke caused by the hot brakes.

The 266 passengers safely disembarked, with the flight due to take off later after checks.
