A woman was dragged from the street and raped by a man after a night out in Greater Manchester.
The 32-year-old victim was targeted in Wigan town centre in the early hours of Sunday.
Greater Manchester Police is appealing for witnesses to the attack.
The woman was looking for a taxi on Library street, at about 0130 BST, when she was grabbed by the rapist, and dragged into a nearby alleyway.
Police say her attacker was white, in his early twenties with short fair hair.
They believe there may have been a large number of witnesses in the area waiting for buses and taxis.
They are urging anyone with information to come forward.
